About
I'm a Consultant Neurosurgeon in London, and I help patients with complex brain, spine and vascular conditions get expert, compassionate surgical care. I lead the cerebrovascular (neurovascular) surgery service at Barts Health NHS Trust, alongside my private practice across seven leading London hospitals.
My specialist work focuses on brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), cavernous malformations, brain tumours and skull base conditions. I also treat acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, facial pain such as trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, head injuries, and adult spinal problems including back, neck and arm pain as well as sciatica. My subspecialty interests are neurovascular surgery, neuro-oncology, skull base surgery and spinal surgery.
I studied Medicine at the University of Manchester and completed a further degree in Medical Physics at University College London, graduating with First Class Honours. I trained in neurosurgery in North London before undertaking specialist fellowships in Skull Base Surgery at Barts and Queen's Hospitals, and in Cerebrovascular Surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge — one of the UK's highest-volume centres for neurovascular surgery.
Over a 15-year surgical career I've performed more than 1,000 operations. I'm a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Neurosurgery (FRCS) and am on the GMC Specialist Register (GMC 7074012). I work closely with patients and their families so they feel informed and supported at every stage, and my aim is always to provide safe, effective and compassionate care tailored to each person's needs.
I see both private fee-paying and insured patients and am recognised by all the leading UK health insurers, including Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, WPA, Cigna and Healix.
